Overview
Gagranda’s experience in the electricity generation sector in Iraq is a practical model of the company’s way of working.
Gagranda created the opportunity, developed it, and invited Hyundai Heavy Industries to participate with its engineering and technological expertise and capabilities. Gagranda took part in managing the project with the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity, and assigned sister companies to execute packages of civil, electrical and mechanical works under the supervision of Hyundai Heavy Industries.

Creating the opportunity
Gagranda identified the strategic opportunity and worked to develop it.
Phase 02
Attracting global capability
Gagranda invited Hyundai Heavy Industries to participate with its engineering and technological expertise and capabilities in energy generation. In this way, a global industrial capability was connected to a real need in Iraq’s electricity sector.
Phase 03
Project management
As the project moved into execution, Gagranda took part in managing the project with the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity and in coordinating between the parties involved.
Phase 04
Mobilizing execution capabilities
Gagranda assigned sister companies to execute packages of civil works, electrical works and mechanical works, under the supervision of Hyundai Heavy Industries.
Result
The opportunity was transformed into electricity generation plants with a total capacity of 360 MW.
